Week of September 16-17

I hope you had a wonderful holiday! This is a very short week!!!

I would like to congratulate all TEACHERS on their day!! (Friday, September 17th)

PROGRESS REPORTS go home Friday, September 17th

We will be studying the following:

6th grade LIFE SCIENCE

We will study CELL PROCESSES AND ENERGY and we will start with Chemical Compounds in Cells. We will learn the difference between elements and compounds. We will also study the types of compounds (organic and inorganic), and finally we will learn about the 4 types of organic compounds (carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids).

We will try an activity to discover one role that enzymes play in our body.

7th grade EARTH SCIENCE

We will study about ROCKS and we will start with Classifying Rocks and how do rocks form (igneous rocks sedimentary rocks, and metamorphic rocks). We will also learn in detail about Igneous Rocks.
